Dick Stenson
Dick is the retired president and CEO of Tuality Healthcare and Tuality Health Alliance of Washington County. Before moving to Hillsboro and that position in 1992 he was the Executive Administrator of Straub Clinic & Hospital and Straub Health Plan in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Dick joined the board of the Hillsboro Community Foundation in 2003 at the invitation of then board member Shirley Huffman. He sees the value of the organization in its ability to improve quality of life in the community and fund projects that otherwise would not be possible. As a board member of the Foundation, Stenson served on its fundraising committee for the Glenn and Viola Walters Cultural Arts Center, the organization's signature project.
Dick has extensive partnerships in the community, both past and present, including Pacific University College of Health Professions, Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center Foundation, Portland Community College Foundation, the Oregon Zoo Bond Citizens’ Oversight Committee, SW Community Health Centers, the Washington County Public Health Advisory Committee, the Oregon Health Fund Board, Vision Action Network of Washington County, Washington County Commission on Children & Families, Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce, School Based Health Center Task Force: Washington County, Washington County Community Action Organization, Oregon Medicaid Advisory Committee, Hillsboro Rotary Club, Forest Grove Economic Development Committee, VHA West Coast, Oregon Assoc. of Hospitals & Health Systems, Oregon Health Career Center, Tri-County Safety Net Enterprise, Intel Oregon Community Advisory Panel, Forest Grove Community Safety Committee, Citizens For A Safer Forest Grove, OHSU Medical Group, OHSU waterfront medical complex, Washington County Columbia-Willamette United Way, Pacific University Oak Tree Foundation, Healthy Start, the Tri-County Medicaid Collaborative, the Tuality Healthcare Foundation, and the Tuality Health Alliance.
Dick is the author of “The Physician’s Guide to Thriving in the New Managed Care Environment” published in 2000.
Dick has lived in Forest Grove with his wife Doreen since arriving in Oregon in 1992.
